Jussie Smollett update: 'Empire' actor indicted on 16 felony counts by grand jury

Why? People should recieve punishment but cases like this should be community service or a light sentence. He didn't actually hurt anyone but himself. We live in a world where we want extreme revenge on this guy but yet a guy who literally spent his entire life causing chaos, wars and serving strongmen get off with 47 months of prison and a judge who is sympathetic to him. Be outraged but shit put things in perspective a bit. We need to STOP locking so many people up and focus on crimes of violence and white collar crimes. Also there are 16 of the same felony so it looks like a lot to calm down the angy mob, the police really don't care and probably just want it to go away. I personally think the whole thing is distracting as fuck, and could of been old news by now if the far left didn't all jump on the same bandwagon defending him without knowledge in the begining. So now conservatives feel obligated to kick it up to 11.
