It's sad that you see trans people as a threat to your femininity. We as women are very lucky to have won our rights, and I personally believe we should help other groups who face oppression. Feminism is about equality, not about hating men or people who are born biologically male. The idea that "THOUSANDS" of women have been assaulted and killed by transgendered people is absolutely ludicrous--I think even someone in Russia would think that sounded like absurd propaganda. For the record, being transgendered is in no way about playing into outdated stereotypes. Maybe you are thinking of drag queens? I happen to be very close with a woman who you would never guess is trans. She doesn't wear makeup or dress in pink or whatever stupid stereotypes you have been talking about. And she certainly has never sexually assaulted anyone! It's extremely offensive to me that she and others would be categorized as mentally ill or perverted.
