everyone wants to say it provides a “tangible” benefit and all im saying is it has no REAL impact 99.9% of the time. yes you can see over certain loops which gives you an information benefit. but being able to see more of someones head over a rock isnt going to change the way you loop jungle gyms and T and L walls and generally loop the killer, you have pretty much the EXACT SAME information when it comes to red stain, how far away they are from you, if theyre moonwalking or not, etc. there are very few instances where this has an impact and the impact it does have is blown WAY out of proportion by people just wanting to complain about something. how many times have you been running around a rock loop as a killer and said “damn he’s definitely only alive because he has stretched res and can see my head, if only he could see a little less of my head then i would win, stupid stretched res cheater”. and the comments hating on resolution and saying it doesnt even help increase fps are just dumb.
