Just an old man pushing his dog on a swing

I'm seeing a lot of people commenting on the sadness. I'm going to try to clarify that there is absolutely nothing sad about this at all.

When you get older, you start to care less and less about what others think, and what society says. You start living for yourself. (Note: living for yourself often involves doing nice things for others).

So you wear funny hats and socks with sandals. You go to the park and you push your dog on a swing. And it's just plain great.

There's something about your dog, when you are old. It's the sum of everything you have ever wanted in life. It is a better friend than any human ever was. It is very much your child, but a child you have no regrets over. It is easy to please, and never argues, and shows love eternal.

We find true happiness. Not with fast cars or expensive clothes or wild parties, but with a warm jacket and a good dog.

Source: Old. And I bought my dog a soccer ball today, and he loves it.
