I just want to give in and go back to “normal” like everybody else. I feel so alone.

Bay Area CA here. Same thing happened to us. So many precautions, masks in schools, masks for sports, masks at the store, only outside birthday parties. We tried to balance precaution and giving the kids some sense of normalcy. We all got it right before the. Accidents were approved for the kids. For the most part it was only the parents who were noticeably sick. 3 little ones (all under 7 at the time) had fevers for 12 hours and then we’re back to normal. After that experience, we started to venture out more and get back to normal life. All vaccinated now and haven’t caught it again. All this to say everyone has to operate within their own risk parameters.
