I have a question... what is your stand on your religion being humourized?

I've found in the past that jews have a hard time dealing with being humourized. Not pesonally, but you may have heard from the Carnival in Aalst in Belgium which has lost it's spot on Unesco's heritage list. The reason for this was because they were laughing with jews. No connection with the holocaust, just laughing with the way jews are dressed and how they 'typically' look.

The organizers of this carnival received a lot of criticism, they were being called racists, nazis, etc. Not just by jews, but also by politicians who were asking themselves whether the organizers 'had not learned anything from WWII'. All while this carnivals humourizes everything. All religions, all ethnicities, all famous people, etc get laughed at.
