In the future the only thing on the outside of a package could be a QR code, anyone can scan it and if they're authorized they'll get to see the address and the user is notified that a delivery person scanned the package, this is already how deliveries with tracking work.

Anyone who scans the QR code and isn't authorized will open an anonymous instant chat with that person as a feature of their smart wallet so they can return the thing to them properly.

Then you tell the person to take it down to the local police station or something and you can identify yourself as the owner to the police using the same QR code.

It will be illegal for any company or employee acting on behalf of that company to write down or store any identifying information about a customer.

My dream is that the phone manufacturers will create these smart wallets based on open protocols similar to how browsers agree on protocols for presenting javascript / html / css.

If your Apple phone for example came with a smart wallet installed, it could be used for interacting with so so many smart contracts.

I believe that one day cryptocurrency / block chain will be used by all people in every day life and be as ubiquitous as online credit card purchases.
