A lot of people say this but I think you vastly misunderstand Apocalypse and Hela’s purposes together. Apocalypse’s’ purpose here is to bring some consistency. While Hela is an incredible card in discard decks, her biggest struggle is her randomness. Apocalypse is one of the most consistent cards in the game. Apocalypse can never be discarded, so he is inevitably one of the last cards in your hand. The intention isn’t for him to be played, it’s for his (or Death/Infinaut if they haven’t already been discarded) power to be stolen by Dracula at the end of the game. On average, my Apocalypse gets discarded 3-4 times a game with a another at the end of the game. It’s a lot of power to be stolen.
