I just came back from my first trip to the U.S (Houston, TX). AMA

I've lived in many cities. Houston is definitely interesting for sure, but don't judge the entire country off of Houston alone (I'm not accusing you of this, I'm just putting in my advice anyway).

After living in Houston for the past 5 years, I can say that many of the people are great when you get to know them...but, other than that, I can't see too many pros other than business.

Houston is a great environment for start-ups and business, especially in the bio-tech sector these days...but I think they really need to work on measures to beautify the city more, and to reduce sprawl.

In spite of that, if I were an outsider visiting Houston for a short time, I wouldn't be very impressed.
