In previous discussions I've posited that straight and gay are exactly the same thing, and consequently each is easily understood by the other. A straight person can understand the motivations and desires of a gay person...they just recognize that their arrow is pointing in the wrong direction.

Bisexual is the same, all the same drives, but they're confused and can't make up their minds. But, again, same motivations and feelings...just directed wrongly.
