I got ghosted after three months of phone calls and chats on the day of our date.

That’s awful, I’m sorry. It’s happened to a couple of friends over the years & it’s rarely that they just lose interest or found someone else. Usually they either have a partner they’ve been trying to step out on (& either got cold feet & got caught), or they are substantially different than the person they present themselves to be & are too anxious to show. I had a summer roommate in college who fit into the later category. She was using heavily altered pics, filters and be very bubbly in chats, but the real her was pretty subdued and heavier so she’d panic before dates and go poof (I only found out about this afterwards, but she legitimately planned to meet when she made the date & then would panic.
