I just… I don’t understand this.

As someone who played all the “sidegames” growing up and loving them (back then, now not so much) this annoys me to no end. Like you know damn well what they mean when they say that, unless you’re being intentionally obtuse.

None of those games were a big, full-on, console adventure like KH1 or KH2. None of those games had satisfying, fun (or as fun), complex gameplay and while they’re canon, outside of CoM and BBS, they don’t a deliver a good, satisfying story either.

I think it’s important to remember that people that like KH but aren’t like SUPER into it, that aren’t part of an online community or whatever, have no reason to know things we in the community deem obvious. Like, really you think a canon mobile game will give them what KH1 and KH2 did? Or that they even know it exists?

Like hell, I’ve played every single game in the series minus that mobile game and that meant I didn’t understand some things in KH3 and won’t understand more things moving onwards. Like that girl that appeared in the KH4 trailer is from the mobile game? I had no idea.

All this to say, I love the series to bits but it doesn’t make it easy for casuals and non-dedicated fans to get into it and/or understand.
