People say that minorities see racism everywhere, but I will argue that they don't see the vast majority of it.
Most of it happens behind closed doors, at family gatherings, meetings etc.
There is a reason why a lot of people think the "racist uncle at thanksgiving" joke is so funny, since it's an experience they can relate to, since everyone has some racist family members, racist co-workers or racist friends who show their true colours when no minority is around.
E.g. I'm fairly light-skinned, so people mistake me as European and think I'm "in on it" when they proceed to say racist shit when other minorities aren't around. Maybe I should start recording.
