Just finished the manga and I wrote a review.

Fine, not everything is redeemable. But just as well, portraying that it's okay for the heroes to murder other attempted murderers is not something you'd want to put in a kids' series. If it was in a teen or adult manga, then fine.

As for the concept of genocide, it's basically total annihilation. Destroy everyone. That's a basic concept for villains in kids shows, but Raiku decided to also tackle darker themes at times (especially toward the end with Mir) to prepare them for life's challenges. There's just some topics you don't tread in works aimed toward kids, and having the role model good guys stooping to the level of murder is one of them. Having the villain try to destroy everyone? That's different. Because it's the VILLAIN doing those things. One can call it a double standard, but it's just how things are with most kids media.

Now again, I suggest we agree to disagree. Or it's just going to turn into a back-and-forth. Sorry if I seemed aggressive, but what you see as flaws... I just don't have a problem with at all, and that's where the disconnect came from.
