I see, I was in a similar situation with my husband (HPV related not being widowed). I was so angry when I learned he was not honest about his own STI test history. Basically, he did get one right before we got together but also after taking the test slept with his ex-who cheated on him, one last time (all within about two or three weeks of meeting me). I did not know he'd been with another person between the test results and me which felt dishonest. Mainly I learned that his sexual safety education was not as thorough as it should have been. My doctor helped me feel less afraid and sort through what I need to do. It sucks. I totally feel for her.
