I just got done arguing with a customer, make me laugh

My worst customer experience was this guy who got pissed off at me because I ID'd him when he tried to buy a couple of cans of cider. He was a semi-regular customer, but you know with selling liquor, you always have to check IDs regardless.

Anyway, I asked him for his ID like usual, and that day I guess he was feeling quite confrontational, because he flat-out told me no. I had ID'd this guy plenty of times before, so I thought it was a joke, so I was like, "Oh, what a shame."

And that is when the fucker exploded.

You see, I'm of dual nationality, both British and Canadian, so despite having family history here, I automatically sound foreign. He basically got right up my face, yelling at me for constantly ID'ing him, calling me all sorts of shit.

"Stupid fucking 'twot' (I think he was trying to call me a twat, which is quite hilarious as he was pronouncing it wrong, yet with so much fury), I've been here like 50 fuckin' times and you all fuckin' ID me still, blah blah blah"

He was just going at it, over a few cans of bloody cider. But yeah, he carried on.

"You know what? Go back to your own fuckin' country, you're not welcome here you fuckin' twot, fuck off, just fuck the hell off"

And then after that, it turned out he had his ID all along and showed it to me, still expecting to be served. Yeah, no. In your dreams, buddy. I stayed silent and just humored him the whole time, allowing him to finish his rant before pointing to the door and telling him to "bugger off". (Something I shouldn't have done really, but after telling my manager, she thought it was fine.)

So naturally, he leaves, all pissed off because not only did I have the nerve to do my job, but now I've kicked him out. In the moment, I was quite shocked as it was the most confrontational a customer had gotten towards me, but as I kept thinking on it, I couldn't help but think how fucking hilarious it was that he seriously got so angry over something as small as being ID'd.

Ech, sorry for the essay on your post, I got somewhat carried away, I just had to share my experience too.
