I just installed CM 12 on my s5. Here are some reasons why you should do this.

This is like the top 3 most common and kind of bad Pokemon ideas all put into one.

What bothers me is that there has never been a pokemon game like the gameboy games for a home console.

There's reasons for that. Pokémon drives handheld sales. ORAS and XY have like outsold the Wii U by twice the amount in half the amount of time. Even if this game cane out right now and they hyped the shit out of it and it sold one million Wii Us by itself, they'd still make more money off a 3DS game instead.

Mainline Pokemon also works better as a portable game. A huge reason its played for a certain amount of the people that play it is you can take it everywhere. The only thing main series Pokemon gets out of going to home console is better graphics, but it takes away that advantage of portability. Of being pocket monsters.

Also, most common Pokemon idea #1: Pokemon RPG

*Start you game in the red/blue/yellow universe. WII U graphics still cartoonish

*After finishing the first game you can either collect all 151 pokemon (including the glitch to get mew but only allowing mew to be caught with the glitch) or you can have a cut scene that explains a 3 year gap and your pokemon from the previous save will be held until you beat the now sliver/gold game.

If you want it in the actual timeline, this game is going to get very confusing.

*Keep the game going in that fashion until X/Y

6 regions in a row, starting over each time actually gets a lot more boring than you think. Not to mention the fact that them going HD like this means they might as well redo the entire world to not look like a ported Pokemon game, which means bigger worlds and more NPCs, which at that point, people would rather just see a much bigger new world, since a game like this would likely include a new region anyways.

Most common Pokemon idea #2: All the regions

at the end you can do a MMORPG type game where you can battle other trainers for rewards/points.

Idea #3: Pokémon MMO

And all that grinding just to play...

HD versions of Pokemon Trading Card game and Pokemon Pin Ball.

Why not just make those separate games in the old in-game Game Corners?

  • have rankings in the Stadium battles and display your scores online for all to see your glory.

Like Battle Spot but the ladder is in-game not on the website, makes a but more sense with the extra power and screen space.

It's an overall okay idea, but there hasn't been a true console game for a good reason.
