I get the impression you have a bad understanding of the variety of reasons that cause some people to vote against progressives. Heres mine:

I think progressives only provide lip service to environmental issues and that their policies prioritize human lives over all other life on our planet. Policies that encourage increased immigration to rich countries, increased wages, and socialized healthcare will result in an increase in population and an increase in per capita resource consumption. Republicans might not give a shit about the environment, but I think their lack of empathy for every single human life is a good thing for all the wildlife on our planet.
