I beat the game a few hours ago (from New Zealand so we got it earliest in the world) gameplay, graphics, music and sound design are incredible. The first half of the game is great even with Joel's death but I could get behind it if the game continued to be good but then the second half of the game felt slow and like a chore. Playing as Abby was so slow paced and dragged on and in the end you have a 2 second flash back of joel and decide "You know what? Even though I killed thousands of people to get to you I'm going to just not kill you" and then get that dreadful ending where Ellie is left all alone. Also felt out of character for Joel to be so trusting to strangers and give up their names so easily. I actually played it dude, I'm not those mindless idiots on metacritic. Maybe you should finish the game too asshole.
