Is it just me that's disappointed with the DLC?

I'm aware of how I sound, and I'm not saying what I mean very well because I'm tired (it's 7am here). I was being an ass, and I'm sorry for that.

It sounded more or less like he was saying 'don't be bad', which I found more than a little insulting. I'm not going to say something like, 'I have x number of hours!' but I've played enough Dark Souls to know that if you die, it's usually because you weren't cautious or patient enough.

And what I felt like I more or less said in the OP was that that hasn't been working for me. I don't have a problem in rooms where an alluring skull would help, so that advice (while potentially helpful) didn't do me a lot of good. The times I'm having issues, is rooms with a lot of enemies at once - right now I'm exclusively referring to Brume Tower. Yes, I can complete these areas. I just beat the Fume Knight, he was hard enough but I managed it on my second attempt.

As /u/FurtiveCutlass said in a comment below:

I assume you mean the one where the Giant is standing in front of a locked door, before you meet the first sorcerers? Alluring Skulls and Yearn are your friend. You can also just get the barrel guys to jump down there, trigger the mobs to start moving (hit them with a arrow) and then blow up the barrel guys with fire arrows once enemies are near them.

Yearn and alluring skulls didn't really help me there either. I may just be using them incorrectly, but they just wouldn't come over to the ladder whenever I used either of them. I wouldn't even have tried them because they're beyond useless in the main game too, which I think is kind of a human issue - /u/NexusDkS said that they didn't use Alluring Skulls for that very reason.

Again, I'm sorry for being such an ass but I honestly felt as though I was responding in kind. Maybe I misunderstood the tone of what was written (IE, condescending).
