Just my opinion...

Why isn’t Matt held to the same standards as Rachael? His former female roommate said that when she lived with Matt, he passed out spare keys to a bunch of his male friends. When the roommate confronted Matt that it made her feel unsafe, he allegedly said, “I don’t care.” Has Matt done the work to show that he would be a good parent to any female children he may have? Would he make a good husband and be able to understand what women go through? Has he put himself in Rachael’s shoes as a woman and come to understand what it’s like for a female living in today’s world? How would Matt feel if he became the poster child for toxic masculinity and had to address his behavior on national television, and to have Rachael dump him and tell him he has to do the work himself.

In fact, Matt and Rachael could have made a lot positive impact working together. Rachael and him could visit colleges in the south and give speeches in regards to the insensitivity of these Antebellum parties. They could have shown the world what it means to forgive, move forward, and truly make an impact.
