I did something like that once. I was speeding a lot. I had a couple half smoked joints on me. I had just seen the Expendables. I see the cherries come on on the side of the road. (I was doing 90 on a 60mph highway). I knew it would take a minute for the stopped officer to catch up to me. I caught up to a transport truck that was almost at an offramp. The cop was getting close by this point. I flew up in front of the truck, and cut in front of him (without cutting him off, as I was going at 150% of his speed). I cut across 3 lanes and took the exit. The cop had just caught up to the transport and was stuck on the other side of it and couldnt make the exit in time, so he just kept going. Saw him turn his lights off from the overpass. Felt pretty smart.

Why did I mention the Expendables? Because in the chase scene where Jet Li and Stallone are flying around in the custom F-100 that Jesse James made for the movie, they do almost this exact thing! Except Stallone slams on the brakes after cutting across the front of the transport, and veers left into Lundgren’s Bronco once the transport was just past him. I specifically remember thinking, “That’s a great move! I gotta remember that in case I get into a jam.” Came it pretty handy that day.
