Totally. I just want my villagers to sit in chairs I put out, not on the ground. They stare at trees and flowers more than interact with items and it sucks because why am I bothering to craft items if they don't do anything with them. And some items are pointless like they just don't do anything.

That's my issue in all this, the reward past the base game is lacking. Like collecting stuff is fun. But crafting and terraforming have no payoff besides like hey this is what I've done AC community/friends. Your island could be all trees and the villagers would react the same way. Recently they just plop down in the middle of a path and that prevents me from going anywhere and it wouldn't be an issue if they weren't right in front of a market I set up for them.
