I just want to rant.

I had something similar like this happen to me during a birthday outing at a club !

My friend (super gorgeous) was approached by this guy and the dude asked her what my friends were there for and they said to celebrate my birthday and dude apparently looked me up and down and said “oh, the girl with the ugly glasses?”

Anyway, I wasn’t supposed to hear my friend talking to our other friends about this but damn did that comment hurt. First of all, at the time, I couldn’t afford contacts :( and also I just couldn’t afford to not SEE in the dark so yeah it was a blow to my self esteem. And all on a BIRTHDAY OUTING so double the hurt my dude.

And you know it hurt me so much I ended up finding new glasses to wear? And I also decided never to wear glasses at the club again even if it meant I go blind as a bat. Needless to say - I HATE CLUBBING now because it made me really the prevalence of shallow douchebags and douchegirls at the club. I don’t really have any advice to give you I just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone, there’s so many asshole guys out there that are just looking to get laid to boost their fragile egos even if that means hurting someone else and that’s more a reflection on how selfish of a person they are than anything
