I just realized that this scene at about 11 minutes in to episode one shows Dytatlov saw the graphite and chose to ignore it or was in denial.

I think the fact that this system still exist in some countries and doesn’t seem to go away in near future should be an eye opener. And it still does cause catastrophes. And nothing has been learn, because power is hard to let go even if it means sending people to die. They are only people after all. Funny how all of those countries has Democratic or People’s Republic in their full names.

And the bullshit the old creep said in Chernobyl series during meeting in anti atomic bunker? Well, people where I am are so brainwashed that they are using this as their life motto on daily basis on social media ( not Facebook of course cause it’s blocked here too): “ Work hard for the country, only work will make you happy, if don’t work hard to the point you are feeling too tired you won’t be happy in the future, don’t think, country will think for you and protect you”. Sounds awfully familiar and should be more stressed that people are still made to believe in that. Add fear against superiors, getting important jobs due to connection with gov (uncle is good buddy with minister of something so I got this job, yeah), fear of loosing face, censorship everywhere and you get the picture.

It can be name whatever it wants: new communism, special communism or new era communism, it’s just communism and it’s a piece of shit.
