just started this game this weekend and had a question about the game in general

1) There's likely a reason for that. Exploitation, a ridiculous amount of leadership toons, cheap botted supplies.

so you've now lowered yourself to accusing players of cheating, as that can be your only explanation for someone playing the game as intended and not paying something?

2) I don't call an average 233.33 days wait for a coal ward "easy to get". I actually got most of the ones I did need when they were 100k back in the day.

not that rare, i have 4 i've got from praying in the last 2 months (6 characters)

3....value for money when you actually do spend is poor.

value of money in any game is not worth it. be serious here, all of it is spent on digital goods with nothing physical to amount from it, you're splitting hairs here.

4) I didn't, it's ridiculous that they charge so much. Hence greed.

a price for a free to play game is always going to have ridiculous prices - you're not required to use it, but there are people that will. just because you're not the demographic that would, doesn't mean that offering that so that they can keep the content free for those that don't pay is worth it to me. For example, Path of Exile, another F2P game, offers a $1000 pack which comes with some exclusive in-game items, and ability to design an item in the game...there have been over 800 of these supporters. There is also a $10,000 pack, and there are a few that have also bought this. There's actually a player that's got 5 $1000 packs and 1 $10,000 pack (they flew him from Japan to New Zealand because he'd offered so much that they were able to make the damn game)

At the end of the day, this all boils down to player expectations - it sounds like you thought that it was Pay-to-win, and you wanted an advantage by spending money, and yet you didn't get it. it sounds like you're proving that the game doesn't offer an advantage for spending money on it? It's unfortunate that you expected that, but it proves that even people that hate the game still spent money on it. after all, the game is a business, and you fell for all their business tricks (the transfer incentives, sales, etc) - if you just enjoyed the game and didn't concern yourself with being better than the guy next to you, you may have had a better time - no one forced your hand to spend money, and you're a big boy, who knows that you were spending your own money on something that was not required, but you wanted to nonetheless...don't pretend that you didn't make that decision, and it's somehow Cryptic's fault.

(as an aside, you had to have known people in the neverwinter subreddit wouldn't pretend to placate you. Your reasons for visiting here are your own, but I don't have to tell you that you offer a very naive point of view and yet, you came here nonetheless)
