Just stay home and eat, you can do it

I’m sorry, I felt like the joke was clear. Everyone please look at the labels at the bottom, this is just a joke I saw on another subreddit. However I am also into fitness and I do have some suggestions for those who are trying to get into shape.

Watch Greg Doucette on YouTube, yes he is very loud and shrill but you can’t deny he has the best tips and techniques when it comes to working out or dieting. He has a cookbook filled with delicious meals with low calories.

In order to lose fat you need to be in a calorie deficit, which means you need to burn more fat than you are eating. So eat less (don’t starve yourself) and do more cardio and you will lose fat.

Don’t starve yourself, losing large amounts of fat in a short amount of time is very dangerous and not sustainable. You will most likely have a rebound and gain all of that fat back again.

I suggest doing cardio you enjoy, personally I love to jump rope, it’s fun and it’s the most effective form of cardio I know. I also play basketball every now and then, less now since the pandemic started.

Schedule out your workouts, never walk into a gym not knowing what you’re gonna do. The same applies for home workouts.

In this trying time I suggest you to get familiar with calisthenics (especially if you do not have weights at home). Body weight is the only weight you need for life. Lots of athletes have become ripped and built large amounts of muscle by doing calisthenics. It’s hard and possible slower than weightlifting but the results are very satisfying. You might only need to do this once gyms are open.
