I take XR in the morning and IR in the afternoon. I have similar issues at my local CVS.

Doctor puts in prescription for IR, I also check cvs website, instantly goes on back order. Then the XR prescription goes though, instantly goes on hold because their system thinks it's shady and I guess thinks I don't need both and gives me a automated call about against state regulations.

They will keep you on hold for longer that I have patience for if you call, not sure they ever actually answer. Finally go to store, don't know if it's covid or what but drive though packed, lines inside as well. Go inside, Accidently wait in pickup line, When I made it to front of line my trazodone still wasn't filled then I'm told to go to drop off line and state my case there. Explain everything I actually need both one in am and pm. Eventually they understand but now asked to get back in pickup line, end of patience for today and going back tomorrow to wait in line again. I fucking hate lines, would rather just stab myself if it would move me to the front.

Only plus is they actually stock XR Adderall brand, so I can get it before the IR that I'm out a week for. So only suggestion from my experience consider XR in the am but you might not like that. If they had everything in stock I wouldn't mind just IRs to save the hassle of explaining two meds but then it's the situation your in now.
