Okay I'm glad to see that we've come to a little bit of an understanding here. I'll take what you said into consideration. But I'm not troubled. I'm a successful member of society, I pay taxes, I have a fantastic job, great friends, I deal with people face to face daily, I have a loving family, and I help people whenever I'm asked for help. Right now I'm sitting in the desert sun, sweating my balls off in a tent, waiting for transport. Just because I like to chuckle at some jokes made at a fat person's expense to pass the time doesn't make me troubled. If that's true, you better stop watching stand up comedy or you'll become troubled too! And sexist! And racist! Oh no.

But, I want to make three more points. Overweight and obese is the average. This doesn't make it right nor healthy.

Replace overweight and obese with drug addict and you'll understand why we're so pissed. Yet because of its 'average' status, the strong push for acceptance, and the extreme counter shaming that occurs (this thread is a great example) you'll see why a frustrated minority has created fph. It's a safe place to vent.

It shouldn't take rocket scientist to get that people who use fph are well adjusted, they're just extremely pissed off and have no where else to vent this in public. There are doctors, firefighters, emts, engineers, software devs, stewardesses, waitresses, military, retail folk... People who interact with the public at large daily. You're telling me they aren't well adjusted?

I implore you check in on /r/talesoffathate. You'll see a lot of first time posters express their frustration. A lot of those stories describe a slow spiral into being a shitlord. These people often start out with "I don't hate fat people" or "I never thought obesity was bad before" and then they describe a situation that broke the back.

But I appreciate your time and your generally calm discourse.
