I’m not looking forward to having to work. People try to make programming sound glorious and will say how we’re changing the world and building a better future. It’s the same as Communist-era propaganda about how great it is to be a farmer and of the working class. But now, it’s more useful for the elite to have programmer minions. The elite is not even a person or group of people. The middle class takes out loans of 200k to go to elite colleges so that they can help someone else make even more money and hope for some scraps.

It can always be worse though. If you went to meetings, then I’m sure you’ve seen and heard of the other side. Even if programming is boring as shit, it’s better than working in a factory, having to rely on public transportation in a place with unreliable public transportation, and constantly having people try to sell you crack.
