I just wanted to have a normal lane and guess who got flamed at the end

The German language inherently has a lot of gendering. In this case the "deine" (your) refers to the "gold" (gold) which is male in German (das Gold), as such the you has to gendered as "dein".

"Nein, du kannst nur dein Gold sehen."

If you're learning German, I am sure you know this (but if you aren't) the three possibilities are "der, die, das" (the, the, the) (male, female & plural, neutral).

While using the language other articles may be used (den, des, dem, ein, eine, etc), but these are the three main ones used when terms are listed in isolation (say a dictionary, for example).

Der Schatz (the treasure)

Die Laterne (the lantern)

Das Auto (the car)

Generally, these are very difficult to learn for non-native speakers and most often are one of the major difficulties of anyone trying to learn the language. To native speakers, the articles will sound right or wrong naturally, so learning new words isn't an issue.

"Deine" would be applicable in scenarios where you are referring to a female-gendered term, "Deine Sammlung" (your collection), "Deine Fähigkeiten" (your abilities) or "Deine Unterschrift" (your signature), for example.

This post isn't intended to be criticism, just light-hearted feedback in case you're trying to learn the language. And in case you already knew all of this, perhaps someone in passing might find it interesting.
