I just wanted to treat myself and that carbonara was not worth the $23 I paid for

Carbonara is already a fucking huge profit margin.

He didn't order steak or lobster.

He ordered maybe $5 worth of food. The preparation takes minimal effort

The most expensive part of that dish is likely the cheese they toss in it.

... The same cheese than any italian place already puts on their tables for free consumption.

Carbonara = pasta, egg, parmagian cheese, and pork.

That's it.

You have to be crazy to pay $23 for carbonara. I'll make a family of 5 each a heaping plate of carbonara for $15

I hope the restaurant isn't relying on booze for the markups to make a profit when they are making so much on fucking pasta.
