Just watched an hour of Karl Towns offensive highlights and I have never been as low on him.

I have said this before, but Towns is being drafted on POTENTIAL.

Also he isn't an elite defender coming out of college like people keep saying. He had fouling issues, he's good and he's got really good defensive potential he will likely live up to. But he isn't elite yet.

He moves nowhere near as well as SF. He moves well but he isn't an athletic freak like Anthony Davis or moves as well or quick. He isn't explosive either.

He also isn't 7', I don't buy it for a second. I have seen him stand beside Okafor and be a an inch shorter. And some say Okaor is 6'10. I don't know about all that but what I DO know is that Okafor and Towns are both NOT 7'.

His length is also less then Okafors, he moves slow laterally too.

He also has massive feet, I will bet a lot of money he will never be the post player Okafor is.

I find it hilarious people think he can learn everything Okafor does in the post in the NBA and more.

But Okafor cant ever learn defense? Sounds fair.

Main reason he is going #1 is because he has the "potential" to fit the the current NBA stretching the floor needs.

That is it. And offer rim protection. But as a talent right now, and you watching footage Okafor will blow him out the water.

People forget that Okafor took a short handed duke team all the way to the finals and won without the need for playing good defense himself..

While Towns was on a stacked Kentucky front court and still got into foul trouble non stop.

But towns also has good basketball IQ.

Personally I would never take someone with so many "IFs" as #1. IMO he will never be that superstar, and won't be the best player in this draft. I am willing to say I guarantee it.
