Just watched TNG S5E17 "The Outcast"

Frankly I think the Deep Space Nine episode "Chimera" is the best Queer representation in the franchise so far, because even though the ending places has Odo rejecting the other Queer partner in favor of an outwardly hetero-normative relationship, the intimate moment between Odo and Kira at the end makes clear their relationship is most definitely not straight, because Odo is ultimately an Agendered being. Kira's arc in the episode shows she truly loves him because she was willing to let him go (and even break protocol to help his and Loz' relationship along). At the end of the episode Odo is finally able to reveal his full Queer identity to Kira, who embraces it as a beautiful, wonderful thing.
