You just won the lotto! How do you quit your job?

I'd wait until finances are where I want them. Then, I'd put in my notice and offer to stay up to a couple months for my replacement. I respect my field, higher education, and am compensated well for what I do. I'll have decades to fuck off and enjoy my life. I'd happily give good people and a fair employer a couple extra months of my life to make sure their lives aren't made more challenging unnecessarily.

That said, if a new boss comes around or something changes, I could quit right away (or almost). I have an emergency fund and low expenses thanks to said employer. I work for a state college now. I started my career in private higher education (endowment under 40m) and would have left with my car and the clothes I was wearing the second I hit it big. That changes when I find myself compensated fairly and working with people who aren't at each other's throats for funding.
