Just a young, first time father experiencing trying times with my wife and I first child

Their child's care is literally being paid for by the taxpayers right now. They seem completely oblivious to that fact, and to the fact that the people they support want to ensure that their child doesn't have that publicly funded healthcare.

It's sad really. I wonder if what it will take for people like this to wake up, is for the people they support to actually achieve what they want, and hurt them directly. At this point I can't fathom what else might help.

Meanwhile, I am happy that OP's child is receiving the needed care, and I am happy that my tax dollars are going to pay for it. I am just sad that OP has such cognitive dissonance that they don't grasp this relationship.

They are literally a benefit of socialized care right now.
