It annoys me how there comments there how great the grandparents were, "never had a problem before". There was a massive neglect here. You don't leave a 2 year-old unsupervised for long and you don't have guns around the house when there are children. This is a major fail in keeping these children safe. The no problems before thing, well yes it only takes the once. God knows how long they had this stuff out there for kids to grab or other things and they were neglectful and thought well our kids were fine and nothing has happened yet, Young kids won't grab guns etc. Its just constantly taking that risk, there was always that chance something was going to go wrong. In this case it's a gun, with others it's something else. Just don't bloody take risks around kids.
