You can’t rate a hiphop artist if you don’t know the industry, it’s as simple as that. I don’t listen to country so I can’t judge a country artist. I can say that I personally don’t like it, but that’s about it. Same goes for you and hiphop. You know Kanye and Eminem (though I doubt you have listenend to a lot of Kanye and you’re just dickriding) but you don’t know enough to form a real, valid opinion. Your distaste for Kanye is simply because you like Em. I very much doubt you have listened to a lot of Kanye, so there again, you can’t really judge. The fact that you don’t know Freddie Gibbs furthermore proves that you don’t know the hiphop industry well enough, so technically you can’t even judge Em or Kanye individually. You can say “I don’t like his sound, flow or whatever” but it can’t be taken seriously as you don’t know enough other artists with different flows and sounds that you might like/dislike and could influence your decision.
