Kanye West's new album, Tidal exclusive only? Forever and ever?

Hey there,

I feel as though there has not been enough of an examination performed on the decision Kanye West just made. What did he do? Kanye west made it so no one can legally OBTAIN his music, making Tidal the only means of STREAMING his music. First off, I like technology a lot, I am a programmer and I try to visualize the future state of all tech. So naturally I thought what would happen if all musicians were to make their music exclusive to Tidal, or a Tidal-like membership fee driven app? Well, clearly you would not have any album on cd, VINYL, nor own digital variants by purchase through the popular digital stores like Apple, Google Play, and so on. I also doubt you would ever hear any album through youtube in anyway ever, youtube accounts would more than likely be flagged very quickly. Tidal does not currently offer the conventional free streaming service with some advertisements spread out, so we would be paying $10 a month for normal quality, or $20 for high quality. So, yes, that should essentially cover it. I was incredibly close to saying this is wickedly terrifying, this should be in an episode of Black Mirror, and while creating that episode, throw in a Tidal exclusivity variant for movies and tv episodes. (No dvds, digital copies to have on the shelf, or to have on iTunes) A future where we can only stream movies, tv, and music. Essentially being forced to pay for cable service, Netflix, spotify, and Tidal over and over again. But, is that a bad future? Technically speaking it we would have access to other movies and music for a payment once a month. Is it about being a little less free, or the money? This kinda is reminiscent of some brothers though, right?
