I used to work in a restaurant and there was one time where it was completely our (former) host's fault. Didn't work that particular shift when it happened but according to a former coworker who worked that night, he let everyone in at once. You know what happens when you let in everyone at once and there's only so many servers and a small kitchen staff? Servers scrambling to help customers and a backed up kitchen who has to deal with a streamline of tickets out the wazoo from all the orders coming in left and right. The former coworker said everyone in FOH and BOH was annoyed with him that night, and that host was not some 16 year old new kid but our supervisor with supposedly a decade's experience working in restaurants under his belt.
