Katie Porter, Squad Members, Eviscerate Big Pharma CEOs Over 'Exorbitant' Drug Prices | "To recap here: The drug didn't get any better, the cancer patients didn't get any better, you just got better at making money—you just refined your skills at price gouging."

This is why the US needs universal healthcare. The market is efficient when there's healthy competition and consumers can make informed choices. The issue with healthcare is there isn't a choice. Pony up or die.

The insurance industry is acting like any company in the free market, squeeze every last penny out of your customers for the sake of their shareholders. This doesn't surprise me at all. It's the politicians that frustrate me. The current insurance model is shit. The populous keeps ping-ponging back and forth on public vs private healthcare while our politicians sell us out to the highest bidder. We elect these people to serve the public, but they just serve themselves.
