Politicians gonna politic. It's a fucking shitshow now, it has always been a shitshow. Like nobody knew who the fuck this guy was a week ago. There is nothing particularly interesting/unique about this man or the situation yet here we are at another political circus.
Enough of the bullshit, there are a million Kavanaughs out there. This man should have been back at his local or whatever courthouse before ever taking the stand. Boofing, Devils Triangle, Renate Alumni; what fucking job is he applying for? And he was getting choked up. Dude is a weirdo, y'all got the majority. Fucking get someone else, this is ridiculous.
Excuse my language but all you politicians can eat a dick. What the fuck do we even pay you for? In my experience local government has always had a much larger impact than any federal actions, and I know YMMV tremendously; I thought it was hilarious when Bush had his economic stimulus (I am not sure how this was supposed to work) and I got a check from the federal government for $ 10. I am sure it is more complicated than that, I hope it was complicated than that, but I remember it being a watershed moment, fresh out of college doing the 9-5; and having that realization you have in high school that adults are just big children. By this time though, I was already starting to realize politicians/the institution of politics attracts some shitty people. But when I got that $10 check printed on fancy federal government check stock, I realized that politicians were dumber far less ethical than your average citizen.
At my super liberal University, when politics and society was my main focus, I thought I had it all figured out. When I realized I didn't, I at least had done some exercise in self-awareness, empathy, considered big ideas, and big questions. I know people are out there asking/researching them, but they do not reside in the house or senate, they do not have a dedicated TV channel, and they do not hand out lifetime appointments to the motherfuckers in at the federal level, whose decisions change the law of of ALL the land. Including those doing significant work for mankind.
Ironically our "public servants", often stifle progress (off the top of my head example stem cell research/net neutrality). But of course intelligent, thoughtful people want nothing to do with government. D.C. does not attract the best and brightest. It attracts the familiar, it attracts the corrupt, it attracts morons with huge egos who insult our intelligence with this nonsense.
