Kazakhstan is changing its alphabet from Cyrillic script to a Latin-based style

Basically there has been divergence in culture with 70 years for some, and 100s for others. Kazakh people during the USSR were one of thr most educated people. With exception of Kazakhs, other Central Asians are very backwards. Ethnic Kazakhs have been heavily Russified and Kazakhs were the minority within Kazakh SSR( Soviet Socialist Republic). We had one of the highest educatiin rates. Whereas the neghbouring countries were very backwards (with exception of few cities like Tashkent), very religious, uneducated, especially Turkmens, it is still the North Korea of Central Asia. Anyways, a lot of repatriates came from those countries, and turning Kazkahstan into the place where they come from. A lot of them come from place called Karalpakistan, ehich basically a republic with Uzbekista. The place used to a huge salt lake called Aral, which ended up drying due to the Soviet policies, and the place ended up being a shit hole, with salt flying around, destroying and speeding desertification. People are dying of cancer and shit. Uranium poising. The region is super poor, had lots of Kazakhs there, along with Kazakhs the Karalpaks came along, all of them have no idea what rule of law is( is not like Kazakh or Russian do, but still). Kazakhs from Afganistan and Iran came along. All of them super reglious, and backward.

Anyways, city folks like myself, who are used to certain way found it difficult to integrate with people who were so different, we thought they are the outsiders, why should we change?!

Anyways, I did not like seeing an old lady being told to go back to "fucking Russia" in Kazakh, by one of these inbreds because she couldn't speak Russian. I have seen uncalled attacks from these people on Russian speakers. Some of the Russians have been living in Kazakhstan and Central Asia for 100s of years. I am not apologist for Russians, but I do feel bad for them. They were born here, shared sweet and bitter with us all these years. At one point, Kazakhstan was in brick of civil war, at the end of 1980s, beginning of 1990s and in 1998 in the East of Kazakhstan. But, our president is very good when it comes to these kind of issues, hate him or love him.
