KC-46 Pegasus Tanker Flies With A Single Pilot At The Controls

This is absolutely absurd.

We have way more crews than aircraft. Cutting the requirement to fly the 14 or so KC 46s at a squadron does not magically increase the combat capability of the squadron with ~14 KC-46s.

What is does is show we can't train and retain pilots to fit the crew ratio required for a competent fighting force. Not a tanker problem, this is an air force problem.

The SMEs and pilots who helped further this should be ashamed. This is not a competent decision, but one made by tactical experts that value their strats and career over the possiblity of creating a healthy leathal fighting force.

If you had a hand in this, know that the AMC crew force is absolutely ashamed to wear the same patch as you.
