I think hes saying:

"I dont want anyone to get taxed, including the rich. However, I also dont want an arbitrary system that taxes some and not others for the same thing."

Which makes both the current action you are complaining about (rich having a seperate treatment) and your proposal (adding them to the heap of people getting scorched by the IRS but even more) things he is against.

It's like the draft. A few libertarians complained it sucked men had to be added to the draft and women didnt. What they had hoped was men would also be removed. Instead women got added. That is something the libertarians didnt want - a terrible thing added to more people. So apply that back to taxes - hes sayin dont fuck the rich, let's stop fucking the middle and poor.
