Keir Starmer hits out at SNP plan to make next election a 'de facto' indyref

Hard to argue against either side of the debate here. on the one hand, SNP want an Independence vote and the Supreme Court basically telling them they have no right to self-determination is a massive boost/confirmation that London still holds the power, regardless of devolution. On the other, Labour are proposing greater powers to Scotland within the Union as part of their decentralisation pledge but do not want to grant an Independence referendum. Difficult to say that either don't have a valid argument, and it would certainly be interesting to see what would happen to the support for Independence once Labour get in, if they can implement their proposals.
