It's a horrible horrible thing, how media in your country sets up storylines and straight up influence teams and ruin some players.

It happens in Europe sometimes too (UK press is renown for being largely a tabloid trash when it comes to sports). Why can't anyone be respectful and like and admire every player? It's like, you can never say "these 3 guys are killing it", you always have to reduce the other two to a scrub in order to lift your guy up. You also insult the intelligence of your audience. People with some brain want to actually process things and come to their own conclusion. They don't need the most simpleton, prefabbed narratives. AND SO MANY PEOPLE ROLL WITH IT.
