Kentucky balistic's 50 Cal Exploded

I can't agree with you there. Take another .50 like the M82, and run the same ammunition. The M82 runs on a rotating bolt seen here:

You can see that the locking lugs on the bolt, while thick, aren't a substantial difference from the rifle in the video. The maximum chamber pressure of .50bmg is only rated up to 65000psi. In a similar scenario with a hot load running at over 80k psi, it's likely that the locking lugs on the barrett would have sheared, causing the entire bolt to shoot out the back of the rifle.

There are obviously going to be some better, some worse designs for a complete failure like this, but ultimately, rifles aren't designed to significantly exceed the maximum designed chamber pressure of the rounds they are firing.

As all firearms need some way to insert the bullet into the chamber, the vast majority, are going to have some kind of mechanism that reciprocates backwards towards the shooter. This means you are going to get metal flying towards your face at lethal velocities.
