Kenyon Martin called out Jeremy Lin for his hair and Lin had a perfect response

Look man, I'm Asian. I get it. But it's not gatekeeping. I never said the Asian community isn't suffering either; especially in the NBA. But trauma is trauma and it doesn't need to be met or one-upped. When one group is hurt all we can do is acknowledge that rather than bring up our owns.

I'm not saying Kenyon Martin was in the right, I'm just saying it's important to acknowledge the importance of dreads to the Black community. This is why Lin is also so humble in his response, because he respects the opinion of Kenyon.

I want to be clear that my ONLY point is that there was a reason Martin said what he said and it wasn't just to take ownership of a hairstyle.
