Kerala is far superior in terms of home construction and its aesthetics. I have been to a lot of states and can assure that even our budget homes has far better aesthetic value than the average mansions of other states. What would have made us better in this regard?

Gulf money to build big houses for false ego.

In a state with poorly built infrastructure. Narrow roads. Rashly driven people-killer diesel buses. No flyovers. No planning. No proper waste management and treatment (Ex. Brahmapur incident). No affordable housing. Everyday new protests going on some random issue blocking roads. Taking false pride and moral high ground on every random issue. No acceptance of modern technology, modern planning, modern infra in the name of communism. Metro is not the solution of every problem. Funniest situation when a lavish house owner takes out his BMW (with a Standing Counsel marked number plate) and travels 5 km in 1 hour honking and breaking after every 20 meters. SMILE people, you are in Kerala.
